This article examines the scenographic and visual dimensions of the directorial methodology presented in Liza Boeva’s monograph Franz Kafka, The Metamorphosis: A Directorial Analysis (2024). It discusses the spatial organization of the Samsa household, the dramatic functions of objects, the visual significance of absence, and the problem of representing Gregor’s undefined physical appearance. The article argues that Boeva’s approach transforms the interior from a neutral setting into an active narrative device, offering useful perspectives for cinema, production design, and digital visualization.
