Abstract

This article examines the marketing potential of the Danube Tourist Region. The purpose of the research is to indicate the most appropriate marketing strategies related to the development of cultural tourism in this region. In order to achieve this goal, the conditions imposing marketing management of tourist destinations have been examined and the main stages in the formation of such a strategy have been indicated. The results indicate some of the most appropriate marketing strategies that can be adapted for the Danube Tourist Region. A brief review of the marketing strategy of the Danube Tourist Region for the period 2021 – 2024 has also been made. For the purposes of the research, sources in Bulgarian and English were used.
