This article examines specific strategies and methods for incorporating picture books into children's dance education. Dance, as an important 231 means of self-expression for young children, can contribute to their cognitive, emotional and social development. The inclusion of picture books can not only stimulate children's creativity and desire for self-expression, but also allow them to better understand the story and emotional expression in dance. Combined with case studies, the research analyzes the criteria for selecting picture books, the role of imagery and the extended use of picture books in dance choreography, with the aim of finding an effective teaching method to increase the appeal and diversity of dance education in preschool age.
