Current studies show that in heavy traffic, road conditions are increasingly a direct or indirect prerequisite for motor vehicle accidents. It should be borne in mind that at a
speed of 60 km/h the car travels 17.3 m in one second, at 80 km/h – 22 m, at 90 km/h – 25 m and at 100 km/h – 27.6 m. In addition, it has long been established that the required reaction time of the driver of the motor vehicle is a minimum of one second. And this is enough time
and distance for the vehicle to leave the road, on an uneven road. In order to rule out dangerous differences in the speeds of adjacent geometric elements (eg straight and curved), the route of the road is checked using a speed diagram.
