In the text I will review and share information based on the stories of the local population from the town of Razlog about two of the most revered holidays of the winter calendar ritual – Grandmother's Day and Surva. The focus of the study being the presentation of the newborn to the community and the boy's participation in the masquerade ritual related to the Surva (Starcheva) custom.
