This study presents a benchmarking analysis of strategic approaches in global cities that are leaders in the field of sustainable development. The research assesses how smart cities use integrated strategies to address urbanization challenges. The analysis focuses on four main aspects: resource policy integration (how cities connect energy, water supply, and waste management into a unified system); sustainable mobility (how smart transport systems are developed); civic engagement (how innovative approaches involve residents in the planning process); and public-private partnerships (how they accelerate innovation and ensure sustainable funding). The main thesis of the study is that successful strategies are not isolated but integrated. Those that achieve high results unite the management of different sectors and encourage collaboration. The results of the benchmarking analysis show that strategic planning and management, based on data and innovation, are of key importance. They allow cities to adapt and achieve greater efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness.
