AUDIT CONTROL AS A GUARANTEE OF QUALITY

Abstract

The expenditure of public funds is subject to control by the Bulgarian National Audit
Office. As the Supreme Audit Institution, it exercises control over the implementation of the
budget and other public funds and activities in accordance with the National Audit Office Act
and the Internationally adopted auditing standards.
This report will examine to what extent the activity of the Ministry of Tourism has come
under the eyes of the institution and, in particular, the opportunities provided by the Tourism
Act in relation to organizations for the management of tourist areas
