Abstract

This study introduces a parallel – unusual at first glance – between two 20thcentury creators, Frank O. Gehry and Helmut Newton, who worked in different artistic fields: architecture and photography. The research focuses on the creative aspects and modes of expression found in their work. An analysis of their visual output and their thematic and conceptual explorations reveals an unconventional correspondence – a connection that is simultaneously logical and intuitive. This link is based not so much on identity or resemblance as on contrasts and opposites, yet these are structured around a distinctive mirror principle. Consequently, the parallel proves to be far more profound and significant.
