NATIONAL NETWORK OF YOUTH CULTURAL CENTERS IN BULGARIA

Abstract

The architectural identity of the youth centers in Bulgaria is in the process of complete change and overmeaning. More than fifty years after the construction of the first youth center in the country, a significant percentage of the existing building fund has been rebuilt and transformed, and at the same time, the last five years have seen a period of newly built centers. Youth activities are organized in a constantly regenerating system and a spatial-territorial network. The present empirical study examines the Bulgarian architectural practice of the construction of the material and technical base from the beginning of the creation of the youth homes in the country up to 2024.
